The 7 Deadly Sins: Greed

As promised (though late, sorry!) here is the next sin from Josephus's The 7 Deadly Sins, greed. If you haven't read them already, check out lust and gluttony.

Incidentally, the  woman who wrote that  marvelous book about The Golden Goddesses hopes to make a lot of money off her book. Like the founder of The Church of Satan, she prefers Mammon!

The Satanist delights in greed. Not the imbecilic greed of Mr. Scrooge, hoarding money without using it to better himself or to reward the deserving, but the creative greed that gathers and uses wealth- and all other worldly goods- wisely. If frugality helps her achieve her goals, she is frugal. If a bit of spending is called for, she spends away. She follows the precept of a great American Satanist, Ben Franklin, author of The Way To Wealth and member of The Hell Fire Club. Through it all, she knows that Satanic greed is an indulgence, the proper enjoyment of the treasures of this earth. To use Christian scripture for good purpose, 

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
